Questions

Answers before you pack.

The short answers to the things new members ask most often. If yours is missing, use the contact page.

Is Stonegrove free?

Yes. There are no paid ranks, loot boxes, or paid access. Hosting costs are covered by the operators and occasional voluntary contributions; nothing in the world is sold.

Java or Bedrock?

Java Edition only. Bedrock crossplay is not supported, and the server does not accept mobile or console clients.

Which version should I use?

Use the release named on the status page. We update after a short compatibility window and announce the change on the world log.

Does the world reset?

No seasonal resets. The map expands when needed, and old districts are archived rather than flattened. A full reset would require a clear announcement and a new world name.

How does the whitelist work?

Members request an invitation on the community board. A steward reviews the request and adds the username to the whitelist. Invitations are personal and cannot be sold or forwarded.

Are mods allowed?

Performance and accessibility mods are fine. X-ray, fly, reach, auto-click, duplication, and unattended automation are not. If you are unsure, ask before using it.

How are backups handled?

The world is backed up daily and retained for fourteen days. Backups are for recovery, not for rolling back ordinary builds or settling disputes.

How do I report grief or a bug?

Use the contact page or the board's report thread. Include your username, the time, coordinates, and a screenshot when possible. Do not attempt to repair a duplication bug yourself.

Can I stream or post screenshots?

Yes. Credit the server and the builders, and avoid publishing private coordinates or personal details. Commercial use of the Stonegrove name needs written permission.

Which languages are used?

English and Russian are both normal on the board and in game. Moderation and announcements are published in both languages when practical.
